Jan 1, 2020 · Some QLED TV's are Full Array, like the Samsung Q90T and Q80T so. Yep. QLED is the actual LCD screen itself (or rather the specific layers it has) - the backlight layout can be anything, just like with a traditional LED. The best QLED are full array - Edgelit can be fine but it does kind of suck in comparison.
Compare The Sony X90J and the Samsung QN85A QLED are both great TVs, but they're also very different. The Sony uses a VA panel with a much higher contrast ratio, which means it can display deeper blacks for a better dark room viewing experience but has narrow viewing angles.
